Live with us

CURIOSITY

Study visit

If you are interested in how we have organised our homestead, solving issues around: food production, water, sewage, warmth, shelter, recycling, compost etc, we offer study visits with a guided tour of our garden and buildings as well as our fantasy forest.

AirBnB stay

If you are looking for an experience in a permaculture farm as well as a peaceful stay close to Swedish west coast nature with simple living standards, come and live with us a few days in our home built natural tiny houses, sheds and wagons.

VOLUNTEERING

We get a lot of requests from people who want to exchange work for living costs.

Most of the work here is not about generating an income, it is about fixing our livelihood and running the place, keeping it as sustainable as possible. So taking part to the community work does not really produce an added value that could cover for an extra person’s living costs.

Also, with an online presentation only, it is difficult to evaluate your skills and work attitudes. It is also difficult to understand if they fit our needs and our expectations.

But if you think you have strong competences to offer – make sure to convince us about that in a thorough presentation. And then pay for your stay, and if you produce something of value we will happily buy it from you.

We are constantly looking for carpenter skills, construction, mechanics…

We accept woofers, workawayers, worldpackers, neotribers and other types of volunteers who fit in our way of living and who have skills or knowledge to share and put into practice. Apply on the volunteering platforms or contact us directly.

If you are not skilled but interested in learning, we hold courses and also accept volunteers on Erasmus programs or other funded projects of the kind. But we cannot host and teach for free – simply because we are not available. It takes time to teach. Work is less efficient. Material gets destroyed. Learners consume ressources like food and firewood. And people often have different representation about what “hard work” means.

We also welcome long term visitors who want to try our way of living (see section below).

There is an ideal vision of what life at a permaculture farm is like. But surviving on the countryside is challenging. And community life is also challenging.

Our fees and living costs are way lower than usual in Swedish society. This is because we share costs, and because we live simple.
